Our long-time family friend and co-member of our church, Ms. Linda Dimon passed away on May 23, 2020, and was interred in her family's plot in Godley, TX on May 30, 2020.

Although not a family relation, she could have been. While her health allowed, she celebrated Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner with us for years, went to all of Austin's recitals, came to the Bible studies in our home and did all of the other things close friends and family do together. We visited Linda in hospice on Saturday, May 23rd and she passed away shortly after we left. Her wide circle of friends and family will miss her.

At Linda's request, upon her passing, we gave her 14-month-old calico old kitten "Gracie" a permanent home with us. Gracie had gone sleepovers with us when Linda had to stay in the hospital during this last year so Gracie knew us and the house. She is a welcome new member of our family and is a reminder of Linda's love and friendship.

Because of international travel restrictions during the COVIS-19 lockdown both here and in Europe, Linda's son James was unable to return from Germany in time for Linda's service. Also, current restrictions of our church services limited attendance for any Dallas memorial service to immediate family only. So, Linda's memorial will be delayed to a future date.

Linda wished to be interred in her family's plot in the Godley Cemetary in Godley, TX (southwest of Burleson, about 110 miles from Dallas.) Linda spent her time as a little girl in Godley where her grandparents lived and it was a very happy time in her life. She wished to return there as her final resting place.

To support James in Germany as well as our church congregation back in Dallas, our pastor, Rev. Dr. Ken Crawford, live-streamed the graveside service on Saturday morning for all those who could not be present in Godley.

In further support, I have placed the video here to be available on-demand for Linda's family and friends who may have missed the live broadcast.
